1. Introduction

RemindPro ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Esperto.ch ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use RemindPro on your iOS device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Reminder titles, dates, times, and notes you create within the app
  • Location names you save for location-based reminders (e.g., "Home", "Work")
  • Custom categories and notification sound preferences
  • App language and settings preferences

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Location data: If you enable Location Triggers (Premium feature), RemindPro requests access to your device location to fire reminders when you arrive at or leave a specified place. Location data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Health data: If you use Health-category reminders, RemindPro may request read/write access to HealthKit to log completions (e.g., water intake, medication). Health data never leaves your device and is not shared with us or third parties.
  • Usage patterns: The Adaptive Timing feature analyzes when you complete reminders to suggest optimal reminder times. This analysis happens entirely on-device and is never transmitted externally.
  • Purchase information: If you purchase RemindPro Premium, the transaction is processed by Apple via StoreKit 2. We receive a verified receipt confirming your entitlement, but we do not receive or store your payment details.

2.3 iCloud Sync

Premium users can sync reminders across their Apple devices via iCloud (CloudKit). Data synced to iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

3. How We Use Your Information

All data processing occurs locally on your device. We use your information solely to:

  • Deliver scheduled and location-triggered reminder notifications
  • Power the Nag-Me engine (escalating reminders)
  • Provide streak and completion tracking
  • Suggest optimal reminder times via Adaptive Timing
  • Sync your data across your personal Apple devices via iCloud
  • Verify your Premium purchase entitlement

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics platforms, or any purpose other than operating the app features you've enabled.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only external service involved is Apple's iCloud (for sync) and Apple's StoreKit (for purchases) — both operated by Apple Inc. under Apple's own Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions

RemindPro may request the following device permissions:

  • Notifications: Required to deliver reminders and nag alerts. Without this permission, the core feature of the app cannot function.
  • Location (When In Use / Always): Optional. Required only for Location Trigger reminders (Premium). Always permission is needed for background geofencing to work when the app is not in the foreground.
  • HealthKit: Optional. Requested only if you use Health or Fitness reminder categories and enable HealthKit logging.
  • Siri & Shortcuts: Optional. Required to add or complete reminders via voice commands.

You can revoke any permission at any time via iOS Settings → RemindPro.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your reminder data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData (Apple's on-device database framework). If iCloud Sync is enabled, a copy is stored in your private iCloud container, accessible only to you and your associated Apple ID.

We do not operate any servers that store your personal reminder data. We employ standard Apple platform security practices including data sandboxing and encrypted storage.

7. Children's Privacy

RemindPro is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

Since all your reminder data is stored on your device and/or your personal iCloud account, you have full control over it:

  • Delete individual reminders or all data within the app
  • Disable iCloud Sync in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → RemindPro
  • Revoke location, health, or Siri permissions at any time
  • Delete the app to remove all locally stored data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an app update. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
